Heads up, travelers! Security personnel at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are no longer allowed to touch passengers' passports.
In an official statement, NAIA announced that security staff are now prohibited from handling passports, following a report of a traveler being denied boarding due to minor passport damage.

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport said all of its security personnel will no longer touch passports during terminal entry and security verification—following the incident of a passenger being denied boarding due to a slightly damaged passport.
