The first-ever body retrieval from the Bottleneck of K2 was carried out by our late friend Murad Sadpara, a truly legendary climber.

Muhammad Hassan Shigri lost his life after slipping on the highly technical Bottleneck section of K2. He remained hanging there for nearly four hours, and unfortunately no rescue mission could be carried out in such extreme conditions.

A year later, his body was finally brought down by a team of incredibly strong and dedicated climbers from Sadpara Valley, Skardu, led by Murad Sadpara. Sadly, just a week after completing this dangerous mission, Murad himself lost his life on Broad Peak. A story of courage, sacrifice, and the harsh reality of the world’s highest mountains. 🏔️
