Everybody raves about Gran Destino tower at Coronado Springs at Disney World, but I decided to try the Casitas! I requested a first floor room, to make life with a stroller easy. We were in building 4, which was a quick walk to the pool! Though I still prefer the tower, I would happily stay in the casitas again! The room was smartly and elegantly designed with little touches of the Three Caballeros!

People know me as the Disney lady .. so who I am to let them down by not going to Disney world this year?!

We made it the Disney World for a quick trip this year. We did Mickey's not so scary Halloween party, an Epcot day and a Hollywood Studios day. The weather wasn't great, but we still packed in the Disney fun!

Not every Disney trip needs to be a weeklong Disney bonanza, a quick weekend trip can be just as nice when you need that Disney fix!

The new magic of animation area in Disney's Hollywood studios is a great spot for the littles! There are a variety of character meet and greets, a play area featuring Alice in Wonderland, a drawing class with Olaf and the Once Upon a Studio film.

The courtyard had an adorable statues and characters greeting guests. Definitely check out this area on your next Disney World trip!

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our Disneyland trip, but I think we are still firmly preferring Disney World, but there are a couple attractions that we really liked about Disneyland as Disney World fans.

We enjoyed a lot of things about the Disneyland Hotel and some things we didn't love, but the pools were definitely the best part!

There are several pool areas, monorail water slides, a hot tub, a steamboat Willie splash area and another quieter pool.

There is pool side service taking orders for food and drinks. It's also very close to Tangaroa terrace, the coffee house and Palm Breeze Bar.

The one thing we didn't love about the area... the seating. On a sunny, warm day, it was really hard to get a seat close to the pool to watch your kids. On the day we planned to stay by the pool all day, I woke up at 8am to grab us poolside seats and on this day it was very hot and very necessary.
I also would've loved to see more poolside activities like Walt Disney World. There was minimal programming.

All in all this area was the shining star of this resort! What's your favorite thing about the Disneyland Hotel?

Yes Disney is filled with amazing rides, parades, fireworks and characters, but sometimes we all need a reminder to slow the pace and take in what's really going on around us when we visit Disney, MAGIC ✨
