☀️ Why September might be one of the best times to visit Figueira da Foz.

The crowds of August are gone.

But summer isn’t quite over.

This September is particularly special, with international university beach sports and the Gliding Barnacles surf festival taking place in the city.

We’ve just had a last-minute cancellation at Casa São José, which means we have availability for a few days this September.

And the timing couldn’t be better.

Figueira da Foz is about to welcome two international events:

🏐⚽🤾‍♂️🤼 FISU World University Championship Beach Sports 17–22 September, bringing around 600 athletes, coaches and officials from 31 nations.

🏄‍♂️🎶 Gliding Barnacles 23–27 September at Cabedelo Beach, celebrating surf, art, music and food.

If you’re coming to Figueira for either event or simply looking for a September escape by the Atlantic we’d love to welcome you.
