Inaugurated in 1995, the Freixo Bridge connects Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.
It consists of two parallel decks, separated by just 10 cm, with four traffic lanes on each deck - a key crossing over the Douro River.

Inaugurated in 1963, the Arrábida Bridge once held the world record for the largest concrete arch.
Designed by Edgar Cardoso, it is now classified as Portuguese National Heritage — a true engineering landmark over the Douro River. 🌉

Inaugurated in 1991, the São João Bridge replaced the historic Maria Pia Bridge as Porto’s main railway crossing.
Designed for modern rail traffic, it continues to connect the city across the Douro River. 🚆🌉
