Starting our day with breathtaking views over the Douro Valley from the stunning Delfim Douro Hotel in Régua — what a perfect beginning!
Today’s adventure will take us through Pinhão, the charming village of Provesende, the panoramic Casal de Loivos, and the iconic Miradouro de São Leonardo da Galafura.
We’ll enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the Douro River, and finish the day with a visit and Port wine tasting at the beautiful Quinta da Pacheca.

Day 5 — We made it!
55 km • 13 hours • 06h00 to 21h30
We left in the dark and arrived under the stars — just in time to attend the Rosary at the Chapel of the Apparitions in Cova da Iría.

We did it in 5 days!
From the first step to the final prayer — this pilgrimage was a journey of faith, strength, and unity.
So many emotions… tired feet, full hearts, and endless memories.

To all the incredible pilgrims walking to Fátima: we see you, we feel you — and we walk with you!
Now it's time to rest and explore the Sanctuary tomorrow, with the peace of knowing:
We’ve arrived. We’ve done it. We’re home.

Day 4 — 48 km of pure determination!
Today was the longest day so far: 48 km in 11 hours of walking!
The body is getting tired, but the spirit stays strong and light.
Once again, we were blessed with great weather — blue skies and gentle sun, the perfect travel companion! ☀️

Along the way: smiles, breathtaking landscapes, and that inner strength only fellow pilgrims understand.
Step by step, we’re getting closer to the destination… and the heart is fuller each day. ❤️

Day 3 - 41 km? Done! ✅
Almost 11 hours on the road – and we’re still standing (and laughing)!
Big lunch break ✔️
Hot showers ✔️
And now… it’s leitão time at Pedro dos Leitões!

Crispy pork + red sparkling wine = pilgrim paradise

Tonight: full bellies, happy hearts, sweet dreams.
Tomorrow: we rise like new!

Day 3 – 42 km walked today – a true blessing!

Under calm skies – ☁️ no rain, no sun – just peace.
A perfect day to walk, reflect, and feel the journey deeply.
We’ve not only covered the longest distance so far, but also made up for the rainy days behind us.

Each step brings us closer to Fátima – both physically and spiritually.
