Hotel Miradouro, Porto, has panoramic views. It has authentic 60s furnishings, quite worn-out and faded though. Restaurant is on the top floor. Hotel Miradouro is a 2-star hotel, so it’s a budget friendly altarnative. In 1971 when it was opened, it was surely very fine hotel! Photos were taken on Sept. 2, 2026.

Thank you Finnish friends! August was nice. Coolification meant in this summer swapping the burning Portugal to the cool Finland for the whole month. Now I’m ready for the autumn.

Hotel Kämp is the most famous luxury hotel in Finland. It has gone through an extensive renovation, which was completed in 2026. Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Elton John…etc. have stayed overnight there.

Free transportation for the residents!

We love you, Porto!! Thanks for making public transportation free for ALL residents! ❤️🤩

Lisbon is free for children up to the age of 18, students up to the age of 24 who are enrolled in specific higher education courses, and residents aged 65 and older. 🙏

Maybe Lisbon will follow suit soon along with other major cities in Portugal 😎
