About Us
Established in 2001, Luxury Villas and Homes (LVH) was founded by the late John Birt, a well-loved Scot who many described as an ‘Old World gentleman’. A graduate of the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst in the UK, John served in the Gurkha Brigade for over a dozen years in India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Nepal, amongst other postings, before finding his way to Samui and movin
g into the property market. Originally he set up the company to maintain the villas of a few good friends who were expats in Hong Kong and had invested in the villa market. As word spread, so did the demand for LVH, and it quickly cemented itself as Thailand’s leading luxury villa management company. Sadly in 2016, John passed away and was greatly missed by villa owners, staff and clients. After a few years however, LVH shareholders decided to sell a majority stake to Singapore based travel company, The Luxe Nomad, to ensure LVH stays at the top of its game. Under The Luxe Nomad’s stewardship, LVH carries on its company values of integrity, honesty and excellent service; with a collection of Thailand’s premium villas.
