🚨: DON'T PANIC, DON'T CANCEL YOUR SAFARI 😔
Ebola outbreak: For Uganda, It's not as bad or worse as it's painted negatively on different media platforms out there! There's is no need to panic and to cancel your travels to incur more costs.
Recently, we received some concerns from our recent clients and friends in Europe (Spain, Germany) asking us about the Ebola thing and at first I hadn't even known about it, yet am in Uganda.
But as you all know negative news always spread like a world fire, it was all over international big media platforms 😂
Take a Look 👀
Ebole outbreak; is in the Eastern DRC - Congo in the areas of ituri. DRC - Congo is Uganda's neighboring country on the Western part.
⚠️The Current situation⚠️:
A total of 744 suspected cases, 83 confirmed cases, and 176 suspected deaths in DRC - Congo.
These numbers include only 2 confirmed cases on the Ugandan side, and only 1 death. Both cases are people who traveled from DRC. No further spread has been reported.
Secondly: strict measures to stop the spread is already taken cautiously and the entry points of congo boarders to Uganda are all closed!
Thirdly, Ebola only spreads by physical contact through direct, unprotected physical contact with the blood, body fluids (such as saliva, sweat, vomit, or stool), or organs of an infected person. It's not like "COVID-19 "!
And during the safaris, clients spend most of their time in the safari vehicles, lodges or hotels, I don't see any local contact here!
Me my self, am in Kampala, Uganda and everything is normal, I don't think this should be alarming and no need of panic!
Feel free for your Ugandan travels
