Following the successful containment of the outbreak through a coordinated national response, the Ministry of Health declared Uganda Ebola-free.
This milestone reflects the dedication of the Government of Uganda, the Ministry of Health, development partners, security agencies, local leaders, and communities whose collective efforts brought the outbreak under control.
Together, we remain committed to strengthening disease surveillance, emergency preparedness, and cross-border collaboration to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our people and visitors.
