This is the official page of The Zaales' Homestay in Bududa District, Eastern Uganda. We offer accommodations for eco-tourists and other visitors who wish to get an authentic Ugandan experience. At the homestay, visitors will stay at the home of David and Elizabeth Zaale. The accommodations include private rooms (either with 2 single beds or a double bed) and home-cooked Ugandan meals. offers a variety of activities, including:
*Hiking various established trails in the mountainous Bududa District
*Bird viewing
*Cultural Heritage in even years when circumcision takes place. Circumcision is a fascinating cultural event to watch.
*Watching bull fighting
*Coffee processing from coffee gardens to coffee in a cup at the table
*Set eyes on various crops grown in the region-- different banana species, avocados, beans, guavas, jackfruit, and papaya among other crops
