Mornings full of adventure and days that seem to go by just too fast. Boots on African soil and pure clean air fills the lungs. Nights singing you to sleep in the sounds of restless lions and laughing hyenas. In so many ways I am missing my African home. Indeed not long now.

I am so looking forward to getting back to this area in July of 28. Not only are the bear sightings incredible, we can also do day trips to these beauties. It's so fascinating just how many incredible species are out there.

Indeed the fall season is hinting at me, the air is changing just enough to remind me of my favorite time of the year. Alaska is calling my name, bears are waiting, and my buddies in Africa are sending my videos of lions and leopards.
Two travel bags in my office, one for the north and one for Africa. Both packed and waiting to board a plane. Indeed it is adventure time again.

What is it truly like to step into yesteryear and discover the greatness of people around the world. Well, I am not so certain I can explain. I can say that it's a sense of wonder and adventure that is like no other. It's big goose bumps with a cherry on top. It's feeding a hungry camera with the flavors of pure joy. It's expending your worldly experiences that leave you with a fulfillment that is beyond words. There are those who see it on the screen and there are those who breath the same air as some of the most amazing experiences in the world.

I love our safaris in Botswana. Long game drives with my very good buddies Kaizer and Albert Parks. Beautiful mornings with the excitement of a new day and a happy camera. Coffee stops with hot chocolate and muffins with butter and honey. Lunches in the bush that leads to afternoons with cheetahs and leopards. Laughter and catching up on all the wonders of the world.

We were so blessed to get Jaguar cubs this year in the Pantanal. We had two different sets of cubs. This will lead to great sightings for next year as well. These little guys remind me of Leopards, however once they mature they look so very different.

We see these often in the Pantanal. They can be a blast to photograph. We often get them in flight. They are also great thieves. When another bird catches a fish these guys will swoop down and take it.

When the right light blesses your day and a Giant Anteater happens to grab your attention, it is pure happiness. I often teach in my workshops the value of great blessings and the gifts of each and every beautiful part of nature. I suppose in so many ways the settings in your brain are just as important as those settings on your camera. Just without the expense of having to get that new model every year.
