New law in New York State

🚤 A Safe Day on the Water is a Fun Day on the Water! 🌊

Starting in 2025, New York State’s Brianna’s Law requires all motorized boaters to complete a safe boating course and earn their certificate. The New York Safe Boating Course covers the essentials—basic boating skills, safety practices, and smart, courteous behavior on the water.

The Antique Boat Museum, in partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, is proud to offer the Boat America course all season long — both in-person and online — to help you boat with confidence and keep our waterways safe and enjoyable for everyone.
