We really enjoyed our two nights in Paros. It is such a beautiful island and offered a wonderful change of pace.
The ferry port in Mykonos was busy and a bit of organized chaos, as always, but once aboard, the trip to Paros was short and easy. And of course, having a driver waiting just for you upon arrival brings an immediate sense of calm.
We had a wonderful arrival experience at our hotel. As a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Andronis Minois exudes quiet luxury. Beautiful views, delicious food, and genuinely kind people welcomed us from the moment we arrived.
After settling in, we headed to Naoussa for an afternoon of strolling and shopping. We stopped at a few cute spots along the way for drinks and views.
Dinner that evening was so much fun. The setting right on the water was beautiful, and the food was very good. But the real star of the night was the napkin party. When in Paros, you have to join in, right?
The next morning, we toured three smaller inland villages with our private guide. It was interesting to see a different side of the island away from the beach towns. One of the highlights was visiting the home of a local Greek family who graciously welcomed us inside and shared a glimpse of everyday life on Paros.
Lunch was at a traditional taverna in Marpissa, where we enjoyed some wonderful local dishes. You really have not had Greek salad until you have had it in Greece.
The afternoon was spent relaxing by our private pool before another lovely dinner accompanied by a beautiful sunset view.
We will definitely miss Paros, but we are excited for the next chapter of our Greek adventure as we head to Santorini!
