Puerto Vallarta is not the kind of Mexico trip where you only sit at the pool and call it a day.
You can, obviously. No judgment. A good pool chair has never hurt anybody 😎 But Puerto Vallarta is where the jungle practically spills into the ocean, and if you like a trip with a little adventure mixed into the pretty views, this destination deserves a spot on your list.
Here’s what three days could look like:
Day 1 starts on the water, sailing through Banderas Bay by catamaran with lunch included. Think ocean breeze, mountain views, and a stop near Playa Colomitos, a tiny little beach that feels tucked away from the rest of the world. End the day with one of those experiences you do not forget easily: baby sea turtles making their way to the ocean at sunset. 🐢
Day 2 takes you into the Sierra Madre Mountains for the fun stuff. RZR trails, jungle views, ziplining through the trees, and crossing Jorullo Bridge, which is not exactly for the “I’m just here to hold everyone’s bags” traveler. Wrap it up with tequila tasting, because balance matters. 🍹
Day 3 slows things down without making it boring. Spend time at the Vallarta Botanical Gardens, hike the trails, swim in the river, and keep your eyes open for military macaws flying overhead. It is peaceful, beautiful, and still feels like you actually did something.
That is what I love about Puerto Vallarta.
It gives you beach, jungle, wildlife, culture, adventure, and relaxation without making you choose just one version of vacation.
