Well, not really…the Christmas parade doesn’t kick off until a little later, BUT you know what I mean! 😂 Christmas at Disney pops up soooo fast! 🎃🎄

Nobody changes the holiday mood faster than Disney fans on November 1!

On October 31, we’re watching the Headless Horseman ride down Main Street and singing along to “Boo to You.” The next morning? We are ready to bring on the Christmas music and Christmas trees 😂

I love Disney’s Halloween season, but there’s something about Christmas at Disney that makes me ready to trade the pumpkins for twinkle lights.

Are you hanging on to spooky season, or does November 1 mean Christmas music is officially fair game? 👻🎅

“We’ll go back to Disney when there’s something new.”
Well, 2027 would like a word 😂🏰

New attractions, a new resort, and some familiar places getting BIG changes are on the calendar! Here’s what to watch if you’re considering a trip next year:

🌴 TROPICAL AMERICAS AT ANIMAL KINGDOM
This new land is planned for 2027, bringing an Encanto ride inside the Madrigal family’s Casita, an Indiana Jones adventure replacing DINOSAUR, and an animal carousel.

The Encanto attraction is planned without a height requirement, which is especially exciting for families who want more experiences everyone can enjoy together!

👁️ MONSTROPOLIS AT HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
The Monsters, Inc. area is expected to debut in stages, with entertainment and dining arriving before the door coaster.

That last part matters! Visiting when the LAND opens won’t necessarily mean the COASTER is ready, too.

🌅 DISNEY LAKESHORE LODGE
The new resort is scheduled to open July 1, 2027, along Bay Lake. Plans include a water play and pool complex, new restaurants and lounges.

A new place to stay also means new possibilities for those resort days I’m always encouraging you to take! 😉

🎠 CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS
The updated attraction is scheduled to return in spring 2027 with new scenes and a Walt Disney animatronic in the preshow.

🛍️ BOARDWALK ADDITIONS
More shopping and quick service dining have been announced, but the timing is still something to watch rather than build your trip around.

Here’s my planning advice: “Opening in 2027” doesn’t mean “open for your January vacation.”

If one particular attraction is THE reason you want to go, let’s talk about its opening timeline before choosing your dates. There’s a big difference between being excited for something and promising your child they’ll be riding it!

Happy Halloween! 🎃👻

In honor of the spookiest day of the year, I thought I'd share something that genuinely terrifies me as a Travel Agent.

And no, it's not the price of airfare. Although, depending on the dates...😱

It's the number of completely avoidable travel disasters that happen because someone didn't know what they didn't know!

I've been doing this long enough to hear some pretty impressive vacation horror stories. And while I fully support a good spooky season scare, I'd prefer my clients NOT experience one while they're spending thousands of dollars on a vacation.

Imagine arriving at the airport for your dream Caribbean getaway, only to discover your passport doesn't meet your destination's entry requirements.

Or finally landing in Cancun after a LONG travel day, ready for that first margarita, only to realize you never arranged transportation to your resort.

Maybe you found an incredible deal through a third party website, but now your reservation needs to be changed and you're stuck playing phone tag between 3 different companies. Nobody wants to take responsibility, but everybody was perfectly happy to take your money 🙃

And can we talk about those flight itineraries that look like a bargain until you actually READ them?

Two connections, a ridiculous layover, and an arrival time that has you checking into your resort just in time to go to bed.

Congratulations! You saved $87 and sacrificed an entire vacation day 😭

Even something as simple as trying to squeeze EVERY possible activity into your vacation can turn a trip you've been dreaming about for months into an exhausting experience.

Not every vacation needs an itinerary that requires military level precision. Sometimes the best part of traveling is actually having time to ENJOY where you are!

Now, I certainly can't control the weather, prevent every flight delay, or guarantee that nothing unexpected will happen. But I can help you avoid a whole lot of problems that never needed to happen in the first place.

That's a pretty big part of what you're getting when you work with an experienced travel advisor. It's not just someone making reservations. It's having someone who knows what to look for, what questions to ask, and which seemingly insignificant details can turn into VERY expensive problems.

So enjoy the costumes, haunted houses, and scary movies today!
Just leave the vacation horror stories out of your 2027 travel plans 😉

With Halloween season wrapping up, I've realized there's one VERY underrated spot at Universal Orlando that doesn't get nearly enough attention 🎃

Every Halloween season, we talk about Halloween Horror Nights, the haunted houses, the scare zones and of course, the Tribute Store.

But can we give a little love to All Hallow's Eve: The Lost Emporium?!

Because I think this place deserves WAY more attention!

If you're someone who wishes spooky season lasted all year, I've got some good news for you. IT DOES at Universal Orlando 😂

👻 All Hallow's Eve: The Lost Emporium is a year round Halloween themed shop filled with creepy decor, spooky merchandise, and all kinds of little details that make it worth exploring.

And if you're thinking, "Wait, I remember that store being somewhere else," you're right!

It originally opened in The Lost Continent at Universal's Islands of Adventure, but earlier this year, it relocated to Port of Entry!

📍 You'll now find it near the front of Islands of Adventure, making it an easy stop as you're entering or leaving the park.

What I especially love about this shop is that it gives Halloween fans a little piece of spooky season even when Halloween Horror Nights isn't happening.

And let's be real, Universal knows how to do creepy REALLY well 😂

So while we're saying goodbye to another Halloween season, at least we don't have to say goodbye to ALL the spooky fun!

It’s almost time for the clowns, chainsaw wielding maniacs, and all the other things that go bump in the night to clock out for the season🤡

Back into hibernation they go…until it’s time to terrorize us all over again next year😂

And while Halloween Horror Nights 2026 is wrapping up, I’m already thinking about 2027!

Here’s the thing about HHN…it’s SO much more than just buying a ticket and showing up.

Between choosing the right nights, deciding whether Express Pass is worth the splurge (it is!), figuring out how many nights you actually need, and selecting the best resort for your trip, there are quite a few decisions that can make or break your experience.

And if you’re planning to enjoy Universal’s theme parks during the day, too? That’s where having a solid plan REALLY comes in handy!

I’ve been helping clients plan Universal Orlando vacations for years, and HHN is absolutely one of those experiences where a little strategy goes a LONG way.

Your January Aulani vacation could come with a little extra action on the beach, and I don’t mean Stitch stealing someone’s chair 😂

A national television production is scheduled to film at Aulani January 23-28, 2027, with part of the Ko Olina beach area reserved for production.

If those are your travel dates, here’s what to know:

🎥 The filming area will be restricted, but guests will still have access to the rest of the beach, along with its activities and amenities.

🔊 You may see equipment and hear production activity during the day. Production noise is not expected between 10pm and 7am Hawaii time.

📧 Guests staying during those dates should receive an email with additional details.

The show hasn’t been announced, so I wouldn’t pack your audition outfit just yet 😉

Would this make me rule out those dates? Not necessarily! Some families might enjoy seeing a little of the action. Others have been dreaming about a quiet beach escape and would prefer to consider a different week.

Knowing what matters to YOU is a big part of planning the right vacation. A filming notice might be a minor detail for one family and something another would absolutely want to know before booking.

Picking a Disney resort is fun. Finding out your favorite room is unavailable for your ENTIRE school break? Less fun 😅

If Disney World is on your calendar for 2027, there are a few travel periods I’d be paying extra attention to BEFORE getting your heart set on a particular resort!

📅 Presidents Day week
Presidents Day falls on February 15, and school breaks can bring plenty of families looking for a little Florida sunshine.

🌸 Spring break and Easter
Spring breaks are spread across several weeks, so there isn’t one single week to watch. Easter falls on March 28 in 2027, making late March especially worth planning ahead for.

📣 Spring cheer and dance competitions
These can affect certain resorts more than others, particularly the All Stars. A busy resort doesn’t necessarily mean every park will feel equally packed, but it can matter when you’re sharing food courts, pools and transportation!

🇺🇸 Fourth of July
July 4 falls on a Sunday in 2027. If a holiday weekend at Disney sounds good to you, plenty of other families may be thinking the same thing!

🧳 Labor Day weekend
Labor Day is September 6. That extra day off can be tempting for a quick trip before everyone settles into the school routine.

🦃 Thanksgiving week
Thanksgiving falls on November 25, and school breaks plus Christmas decorations make this a popular time to visit.

🎄 Christmas week
If opening presents at a Disney resort is the dream, start looking early, especially if you need a specific room setup.

🎆 Christmas to New Year’s
December 26-January 1 is another stretch where I’d want a plan in place well ahead of arrival.

Does this mean you shouldn’t go during these times? Absolutely not! For plenty of families, school breaks are the dates that WORK. We can plan around that ❤️

But I wouldn’t treat any crowd prediction as a guarantee, either. Hotel availability, park crowds, and pricing don’t always move together, and a week missing from this list isn’t a promise of empty parks!

My advice? Reach out while you still have choices. A little flexibility with your dates or resort can give us more to work with.

Good news for little train lovers AND parents whose feet have had enough of Magic Kingdom! 🚂 (and it's not lost on me I've got back to back train related updates lol)

The Walt Disney World Railroad reopened October 29, a day earlier than expected!

But before you hop aboard expecting a full lap around the park, there’s a route change you’ll want to know about.

🚂 The train is currently running between Main Street, USA and Fantasyland, then back again.

🚧 The Frontierland station remains closed due to construction, so the full loop around Magic Kingdom is still unavailable.

There’s no announced date for the full route to return.

That means you CAN enjoy a train ride and give those feet a break. Just don’t plan on using it to get to Big Thunder Mountain or the rest of Frontierland right now 😉

Please don’t overlook this one because it isn’t a thrill ride. Sometimes sitting beside your child while they get ridiculously excited about a TRAIN ends up being one of your favorite parts of the day ❤️

The Hogwarts Express is taking a day off, so your November 4 plans may need a little rerouting!

If you’re visiting Universal Orlando next week, the train is scheduled to be CLOSED November 4, with reopening planned for November 5.

A quick reminder of what that means for your day:

🚂 You can still visit Universal Studios Florida AND Islands of Adventure with Park to Park admission. You’ll just need to exit one park and walk through CityWalk to enter the other.

⚡ You can still explore Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. The train connecting them is what’s taking the day off!

And since this comes up pretty often, the Hogwarts Express does NOT travel to Epic Universe 😉

Just a heads up. I know for some families, missing the train is no big deal. For the child who has been talking about boarding at Platform 9¾ for 6 months? That’s information I’d want BEFORE picking your park days!
