TENNESSEE FOR THE WIN
In 1920, the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote, had been passed by Congress but needed to be ratified by three-quarters of the states -- 36 out of 48. Tennessee became the 36th state to ratify the amendment, giving women the right to vote. This statue in Nashville's Centennial Park commemorates five women who fought tirelessly to win Tennessee's vote. photo: WTT Memphis & Nashville tour, April 2026
