City of Portland it’s time to stop making affordable housing so difficult to even build! Seriously over 2 years to PULL a permit! WHY? Why is the City of Portland so dysfunctional when it comes to building ANY housing BUT especially truly AFFORDABLE housing !! Meanwhile the homeless problem is getting worse. Your asking for more money yet you don’t track how effective or LACK there of the city’s process to get permits to build.
Look inside first… civic life is still dysfunctional and the city won’t recognize SWNI as district coalition for Southwest and refuses to provide SWNI with money to provide service to SW Portland resident’s.
SW neighborhoods have ALREADY voted and want SWNI to be officially recognized by the city as SWDistrict coalition.
It’s time the city STOP acting like they know what their doing following ONI Standards and 3.96 and undue the severe HARM the city has caused SW Portland by NOT proving services or financial assistance as it does with ALL the other neighborhood Associations.
