There is only the best safari lodge for YOU. 🌍

Before I recommend a safari lodge, I want to know more than your travel dates.

I want to know what you want to see.

What you're comfortable spending.

Whether “sleeping under canvas” sounds magical or makes you want to run for the nearest brick wall. 😂

Whether you're travelling with children.

Whether you're looking for adventure from sunrise to sunset—or a little more “game drive, long lunch, pool, repeat.”

And yes… how many nights you actually have.

Because all of those little details can completely change the recommendation.

That's the part of travel planning you don't always see from the other side of the booking.

Your safari lodge should NOT be your first decision. 👀

I know… those beautiful lodges are VERY tempting.

But choosing the accommodation first can mean trying to make the rest of your trip fit around it.

A better order?

🌍 Region
☀️ Season
🐘 Experience
🏡 THEN — the lodge or hotel

Because the most beautiful lodge isn't necessarily the right lodge for your Africa trip.

And that little change in planning can make a huge difference to how your trip actually feels.

🌍 Thinking about Africa in 2027? You don't have to have it all figured out yet.

In fact, that's exactly why starting the conversation early can help.

Africa isn't one destination—and putting together a great trip involves more than choosing a safari lodge.
There are flights to consider.
The right season.
Your budget.
How many places you should visit.
How much time to spend in each.
And, importantly, how fast (or slowly) you actually want to travel.

And those beautiful lodges you've been saving? Some have surprisingly few rooms.

But here's what I want you to know:
You don't need a finished itinerary before you reach out to me.
Maybe you're only dreaming.

Your first trip to South Africa does not need to include everything.

In fact, I’d usually recommend the opposite. 🇿🇦

For a first trip, I’d start with:

📍 Cape Town — 3–4 nights
🦁 Safari — 3–5 nights
🍷 Then, if you have the time, add one: the Winelands, Victoria Falls or the Garden Route.

Because the best South Africa itinerary isn't the one with the most dots on the map.

It's the one that fits your budget, your pace and the way you actually like to travel.

And when you get it right?

You leave with incredible memories… and already want to come back. ❤️

A child watching elephants isn't just seeing an animal.

To understand how everything in an ecosystem connects.

That’s the magic of a family safari: the lessons happen naturally.

Safari pricing can be confusing.

You can find one safari for $4,000 and another for $20,000 — and both can be completely legitimate.

The difference isn't necessarily that one lodge is “better.”

It can come down to where you're going, when you're travelling, where you're staying, how exclusive the wildlife experience is, how you get there, and how many nights you're travelling.

That's why I don't recommend comparing safari lodges on their nightly rate alone.

The better question is:

“What kind of safari can I realistically create with my budget?”

You don’t need to see all of Africa in one trip. 🌍

And honestly? Trying to squeeze 6 destinations into 9 nights can leave you spending more time packing, unpacking and sitting in airports than actually enjoying Africa.

A well-planned safari should have room to breathe.

Fewer destinations.
More time in each place.
Less rushing.
More unforgettable moments. 🐘
