You won't expect to find the worldโ€™s largest permanent exhibition space for Western art in a small Georgia town, but here we are.

The Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville is a 120,000 square foot Smithsonian affiliate and the second largest art museum in Georgia.

Inside youโ€™ll find contemporary Western artwork, a Presidential Gallery, Civil War art, more than 200 Native American artifacts , authentic stagecoaches, and rotating exhibits that change throughout the year.

The building itself is worth noting as it's designed to resemble a modern pueblo and constructed from Bulgarian limestone.

This museum is one of those places where you'll think you know what youโ€™re walking into and then you spend three hours in there realizing you still need more time.

If youโ€™re in North Georgia or passing through on I-75, this is worth the stop.

Have you been? Or is this going on your Georgia bucket list?

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Iโ€™m spending America's 250th the way I know best - visiting and sharing the historic sites that tell real, fascinating stories.

I'll be sharing historic old houses, Civil War & Cherokee sites (mostly GA and Southeast) and some of the places that people drive right past without knowing what theyโ€™re missing.

I've shared a few already with more coming all summer long.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Any sites in Georgia you want me to cover?

Most people drive right past Brooksville on their way to bigger Florida destinations. But if you do, you'll be missing out on the perfect mix of Old Florida + outdoor adventures.

This small Florida town, about an hour north of Tampa, is home to a former cotton plantation that hosted Thomas Edison and Helen Keller, a local winery, hiking trails, and layers of Old Florida history most tourists never find.

I put together a full guide on what to do in Brooksville and why this town deserves to be on your Florida road trip.
