Measles Vaccination Requirement (Effective July 7, 2025)

In response to a national health alert, the Government of Honduras has implemented new entry protocols, effective Monday, July 7, 2025, under Executive Decree No. 28-1-2025, to help prevent the spread of measles. The following applies:

Foreign Travelers (Including The U.S. And Canada):

Travelers arriving from high-risk countries are required to present proof of measles vaccination upon entry into Honduras.
If you do not have proof of vaccination, medical personnel will be available at official entry points to administer the vaccine upon arrival.

High-Risk Countries Include: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, the United States of America, Mexico, Peru, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Russia.
