There's just something about EPCOT...✨

Maybe it’s the music playing as you walk through the park. Maybe it’s seeing the monorail glide by, wandering through World Showcase, or realizing there’s always one more thing you want to stop and see.

For me, it’s all of those little things.

I’ll always make time for Soarin’ and one more race around the track. I’m definitely stopping for maple popcorn in Canada and a Caramel Butter Bar from Karamell-Kuche in Germany. And sometimes, one of my favorite parts is simply slowing down and walking through World Showcase, taking it all in.

That’s the kind of Disney magic I love most, not just the big moments, but all those little things that somehow become your things. 💞

✨ First stop: Magic Kingdom ✨

There are so many things I love about Magic Kingdom, but it’s the little things that make it feel so special to me!

The spring rolls I’m already thinking about before we even get there. A refreshing tart Dole Whip on a hot afternoon. Riding Pirates and Big Thunder one more time. Slowing down for a ride on the PeopleMover. Main Street. The music. And all those little details that somehow feel familiar every single time. 💖

That’s what this series is really about ~ not just the places I love, but the little things inside these places that make them feel magical to me.

And Magic Kingdom has a whole lot of those. ✨

The guys had a simple plan yesterday: grab some breakfast and head to the LWS Open at Idlewild.

Breakfast? ✅
Disc golf? ⏳
The car? Absolutely not. 😂

A quick stop for breakfast turned into an unexpected parking lot repair with tools coming out, car parts coming OFF, an umbrella becoming makeshift shade, and some seriously dirty hands.

But… they made it! ❤️

What started under the hood of a broken down car ended at the tournament, watching disc golf and making amazing memories.

Sometimes the things that were never part of the plan become part of the story anyway.

A New Series: The Destinations That Feel Like Magic ~ and All the Little Things That Make Them Mine

MY DISNEY FAVORITES ~ ONE PLACE AT A TIME 💫

There are so many things I love about Disney, and surprisingly, they aren't always the big things. Sometimes it's a favorite ride I could experience over and over. Sometimes it's a snack I start thinking about before the trip even begins. Sometimes it's a certain walkway, a resort at just the right time of evening, a favorite shop, or even the transportation that somehow becomes part of the memory.

So I thought it would be fun to start a new series sharing my Disney favorites, one place at a time. 💞 I'll be sharing the parks, Disney Springs, Downtown Disney District, resorts and more along with the rides, food, shopping, transportation and little moments that make each one special to me.

This definitely isn't a “best of Disney” list. These are simply the things that make Disney feel magical and special to me.

Part of why I love helping families plan Disney vacations is knowing that everyone's version of the magic looks a little different. The things my family loves may not be the things yours loves and that's part of the fun of planning a trip that's truly yours. ✨

I realize a cemetery might not be the first place most people think of visiting while traveling, but Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia, is a destination worth stopping at.

It is incredibly peaceful and beautiful, with rolling hills, old trees, winding roads, historic monuments, and overlooks of the James River. We even saw families of deer quietly wandering through the grounds.

But what stayed with me most was the history.

Walking among the graves of people whose lives are connected to so many different chapters of our country's story makes you slow down and think.

History can be complicated. It can make us proud, curious, grateful, and sometimes uncomfortable but there is something meaningful about standing in the places where it actually happened and remembering that the names in our history books belonged to real people who lived before us.

Hollywood Cemetery wasn't a gloomy stop on our trip. It was a quiet and beautiful one, a place that gave us a chance to reflect on the past while looking out over the country that continued on after them.

Sometimes the unexpected stops become some of the most memorable. ❤️🤍💙

Home again after a road trip filled with history, new places, and plenty of miles along the way.

One of my favorite things about a road trip is watching the state signs change as the miles go by and then finally seeing that familiar Cincinnati sign that says we're almost home.

We packed a lot into this trip, from historic homes and battlefields to Washington D.C., and quite a few stops in between. I have so many photos still to share!

There really is something special about seeing a destination one mile at a time. 💕

Yesterday was one of those days that reminded me why I love traveling so much.

We started with breakfast, spent part of the day exploring Monticello and taking in the history, and finished the evening with a stop at Kilwins for ice cream.

Nothing overly complicated, just a day filled with new places, interesting stories, time together, and something sweet at the end.

I think that's one of my favorite things about traveling. The destination may be what gets you there, but it's all those little moments throughout the day that become part of the memory.
And yesterday was definitely a day well spent!
