Follow the flow — from rain collecting in Lake Whatcom, through the city’s drinking-water system and wastewater treatment plant, and finally into Bellingham Bay. Along the way, discover infrastructure hiding in plain sight and a vast network of pipes beneath your tires. It’s a journey of precipitation, plants, pipes, p**p, and pumps — with plenty of surprising stops along the way. 💧🌱💩

Still mourning the loss of Bellingham Rock? Don’t take it for granite. There’s a new ride in town, and it absolutely rocks.

BIKE Bellingham’s Throwing Stones is a 25-mile romp to 22 stone-themed spots around town, inspired by our friends at Fairhaven Stones Throw Brewery. Because apparently, Bellingham has a lot to say about rocks.

Along the way, you’ll uncover stone-cold facts, rock-solid stories, and geological gossip you probably didn’t know you needed. The ride guide includes a map, turn-by-turn navigation, and the backstory on every stop.

And here’s the best part: it’s FREE, and you can ride it whenever you want. No reservations. No start time. No one keeping tabs on your pace. Just you, your bike, and 25 miles of rockin’ around Bellingham.

So dust off your bike, grab the guide, and get your geology on.
It’s gonna be gneiss. 🪨🚲
