Fishing Report

A slightly better day.

We picked away at sea bass and ling throughout the trip, with fish coming over the rail and a few heading home for dinner. It wasn’t red-hot fishing by any means, but it was definitely an improvement from what we’ve been seeing.

Sometimes that’s all you need to see. A little more life, a few more bites, and signs that things are moving in the right direction.

The water continues to warm, summer is settling in, and we’re looking forward to what the next few days bring.

Come give it a shot.

Fishing Report – Miss Belmar

The fishing showed some nice signs of improvement today.

Aboard the Miss Belmar Princess, we had lots of sea bass action with plenty of throwbacks keeping anglers busy. Some customers put together very nice catches, including keeper fluke, and a couple anglers limited out. Anthony had an impressive day, catching 63 sea bass with 4 keepers mixed in.

We even had an angler visiting from Vermont today, proving once again that fishermen will travel a long way when the Jersey Shore starts heating up.

On the S.S. Miss Belmar, we picked away at keeper sea bass before moving in closer to the beach, where anglers found short fluke and a keeper fluke that took today’s pool. Congratulations to today’s pool winner, Jim Lesher.

More action, more keepers, and plenty of reasons to be optimistic. The water is warming up, summer is settling in, and it felt a lot more like summer fishing today.

Whether you’re lucky enough to call the Jersey Shore home or you’re visiting for the summer, now is a great time to get out on the water. Join us aboard the Miss Belmar for sea bass fishing, fluke fishing, family fishing trips, and whale watching all season long.

Come join us tomorrow.

Fishing Report

The tough fishing continued today.

Strong winds with gusts approaching 30 mph didn’t do us any favors, but we managed to scratch out a handful of keeper sea bass and a few ling. Even the short life was scarce for most of the trip.

Some days the conditions win.

The good news is the weather looks like it’s settling down, the water continues to warm, and we’re looking forward to better days ahead.

That’s fishing.

Fishing Report – Miss Belmar

The fishing was on the slower side today, but that’s part of the game.

We picked away at sea bass and fluke throughout the trip, with a few keepers making their way into the coolers. We also spotted small bluefish on top, another sign that summer is getting closer.

The weather was beautiful, the ocean was calm, and everyone enjoyed a day on the water.

Some days are about filling the cooler. Some days are about being out there.

We’ll be back at it tomorrow.

🐋 Watch until the end.

This whale is known as NYC 313, and he’s been visiting the waters off the Jersey Shore since 2023.

What makes this sighting even more incredible is the repeated tail slapping. Whales use tail slaps as a form of communication, creating sounds underwater that can travel long distances and reach levels louder than a subway train.

Our guests were treated to nearly four minutes of this amazing behavior, something you don’t get to witness every day.

Moments like these are why whale watching is never the same trip twice.

Reserve your whale watching tickets today.

Fishing Report

We picked away at ling and sea bass throughout the day, with fish coming over the rail and anglers taking some dinner home.

The warm weather should continue to help as the water temperatures climb and the fishing settles into its summer pattern.

Most importantly, it was a beautiful day on the water with calm seas, good company, and plenty of fresh ocean air.

That’s never a bad way to spend a day. 🌊🎣

We asked him how it felt to catch his first fish of the day.

His answer?

“It’s my second.” 😎

That little smile said everything.

There’s something special about watching a kid catch fish, build confidence, and have fun on the water. Those are the days they remember.

At Miss Belmar, we see it all the time. One fish turns into two. Two fish turn into a lifelong love of fishing.

Fishing Report

Not every day is a barn burner, but that’s why they call it fishing.

The sea bass were a little picky for most of the trip, but they finally turned on during the last hour and helped salvage the day. Some anglers ended up with 3 or 4 keeper sea bass, others picked away at a few fish, and a handful of ling found their way into the buckets as well.

The ocean was beautiful, the weather cooperated, and everyone gave it their best shot.

That’s fishing. 🎣🌊

Ling fishing aboard the S.S. Miss Belmar.

A lot of anglers come looking for sea bass, but nobody complains when a few ling end up in the cooler.

These fish have been helping round out catches lately, and they’re always a welcome sight coming over the rail.

The way we see it, a day spent fishing, a little salt on your face, and a few fish to bring home is time well spent.

That’s what it’s all about.

Weather looks good and the fish are there.

Come join us for a 1/2 day trip, 3/4 day trip, or whale watching adventure.

The off season makes you miss days like these.

A father and son at the rail.
First fish of the day.
A quick catch up.
Not out as often as you’d like… but exactly where you want to be when you are.

Fishing isn’t always about how hot the bite is.
It’s about time together, stories between drops, and moments you don’t realize you’ll miss until the boats are tied up.

Counting down to more days like this. ⚓️🎣
