Fishing Report – Miss Belmar

Another beautiful day on the ocean today.

Sea bass fishing was productive, especially for the anglers who know how to jig. One customer put on a clinic and caught a double limit, while several others did very well picking away at quality sea bass throughout the day.

We also released plenty of blackfish and had a small codfish make an appearance to keep things interesting.

The weather was gorgeous, the ocean was calm, and the fish are definitely showing more life. As the water continues to warm, we’re expecting the bite to get even better.

Fishing Report

What a difference a day makes.

Fishing was much improved today with a steady pick of sea bass and ling throughout the trip. Some anglers reached their 10 sea bass limit, while others filled their bags with a nice mix of sea bass and ling.

We also had plenty of action from blackfish and even a few codfish, but all blackfish were safely released as the season is currently closed.

To top it all off, we were treated to a whale sighting on the ride home and some beautiful calm water that looked more like the Caribbean than the Jersey Shore.

Fishing was slow today with long stretches between bites, but that’s part of the game. We managed a keeper, a handful of shorts, and even caught a shark to keep things interesting.

A much better day aboard the Miss Belmar today.

The fishing picked up during the second half of the trip, and we ended the day with a bunch of nice keeper sea bass along with plenty of throwbacks to keep everyone interested and the rods bending.

Beautiful weather, calm seas, and happy anglers made for a great day on the water.

Fishing Report

The strong winds made conditions challenging today, but we still managed a pick of sea bass with a few keepers mixed in.

Not quite the results we were hoping for, but that’s fishing. We’ll be back at it tomorrow and looking forward to calmer conditions.

Our fishing trips are running 7 days a week weather permitting, and the forecast is looking much better ahead.

2025 — what a year.

Fishing trips that kept us coming back for more.
Whale watching that never gets old.
Firework cruises, private charters, burials at sea, full rails, calm days, rough days, all part of life on the water.

This year was extra special as we celebrated 90 years of Miss Belmar.
Three generations. Countless memories. Traditions passed down and new ones made.

The message in a bottle turned into something really meaningful, a gift, a memory, a reminder of time spent together out here. That’s what it’s always been about.

To everyone who stepped on board in 2025, thank you.
We’re grateful for every trip, every story, every familiar face.
