Fishing Report | Miss Belmar

Bunker, bunker everywhere! We had bait all over the surface today and were snagging bunker, hoping to get some stripers underneath them. Unfortunately, they weren’t cooperating.

So we changed gears and went bottom fishing. Picked away at sea bass, porgies and ling and put some fish in the boat!

The ocean was flat calm today. Absolutely beautiful out there! Couldn’t have asked for better conditions.

We’re going to keep looking for those stripers. With all this bait around, we’re hoping the bite turns on soon!

Fishing Report | Miss Belmar

Bunkers everywhere this morning! We had plenty of bait showing on top, but the stripers just didn’t want to cooperate. Lots of boat traffic out there too, with plenty of smaller boats working the same water.

We gave the bass a shot, but when they wouldn’t bite, we switched gears and went after sea bass.

Picked away at the sea bass and put some fish in the boat. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day on the ocean, and everyone had a great time!

Congratulations to today’s pool winner, Jorge Rosa! 🏆

The stripers are starting to show up, and we’re looking forward to seeing that bite turn on. That’s fall fishing!

And just like that… the first striper of the season is in the boat! 🎣

We’ve been waiting for this. The fall striper run is getting started, and there’s nothing better than seeing that first bass come over the rail.

Now the question is, who’s going to be here when the bite really turns on?

Fishing Report

Beautiful conditions on the water today. Light west wind, calm seas and clean, warm water. Everything looked just right, except the fish had other plans.

Fishing was still very slow despite the great conditions. We kept working at it, but the bite just never came together.

Some days you can have everything in your favor and the fish still won’t cooperate. That’s fishing!

Tomorrow’s a new day, and we’ll be right back out there looking for a better bite.

Fishing Report

We picked away at the sea bass today in a rough ocean. Definitely made us work for them, but we stuck with it and managed to put a decent catch together by the end of the day.

Not the easiest conditions, but a good day of fishing considering what Mother Nature gave us.

We’ll be back at it tomorrow. Come fish with us.

Some problems can wait until you get back to the dock.

A few hours on the water, a rod in your hand, good people at the rail and absolutely nowhere else you need to be.

And lately, you never know what’s coming over the rail. Blues, bonito, albacore, mackerel and sea bass have all been keeping things interesting.
