The Union County Farmers Market in Blairsville just opened up for the season this past weekend, and it is entirely worth the 2-hour drive up here.

This isn't just a few tents in a parking lot. It's over 85 local vendors selling actual homegrown mountain produce, fresh-cut flowers, homemade goat cheese, pastries, and incredible handmade crafts from local makers.

The move is simple: drive up Friday after work, wake up early on Saturday to grab the best sourdough and local honey at the market, and then spend the rest of the afternoon doing absolutely nothing back at your cabin by the creek.

Staying at the cottages gives you the best of both worlds. You can spend the day out on the lake boating or swimming, and then head right back here to fire up the grill by Coosa Creek. There's no fighting the crowds for a picnic spot, just your own quiet space by the water to unwind after a day under the sun.
