And just like that…School Nurse Carrie is back on duty. 🩺✏️

Today I trade some of my travel-agent time for the nurse’s office as I head back to school and start getting ready for another school year.

Don’t worry…your travel agent bestie isn’t going anywhere. ✈️ I’m still quoting, booking, answering questions and keeping an eye on all of your upcoming trips.

You may notice that my response time is a little slower while I get back into the school-year routine. I promise I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Apparently being in two places at once still isn’t one of my talents. 😂

Here’s to a new school year…and plenty of vacations on the calendar to make getting through it a little easier.

🏰✨ DISNEY FANS… we have A LOT to talk about!

Last night’s Horizons Disney Experiences Showcase gave us a pretty big look at what’s coming and Disney definitely gave us some reasons to start planning future trips.

A few announcements I’m especially excited about:

💜 Dreamfinder + Figment together again at EPCOT with a reimagined Journey Into Imagination!

🚗 Piston Peak is coming to Magic Kingdom with Cars-inspired attractions and a whole new area to explore. Ka-chow! 🏁

🦹‍♀️ VILLAINS LAND!
You knew this was the one I was waiting for. 😂 Two major attractions, dining, shopping and an entire land dedicated to Disney Villains. A MALEFICENT coaster….what?!

🌺 Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom with Encanto, Indiana Jones and even some love for the Expedition Everest Yeti!

👾 Monstropolis starts opening at Hollywood Studios in 2027. Just picture it…Harryhausen’s restaurant and a “Welcome to Monstropolis” show. Then eventually we’re getting THE DOOR COASTER. 🚪🎢

🎠 Carousel of Progress is getting new scenes and storytelling while still keeping this Disney classic around. Featuring the voice’s of Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston!

🦸‍♀️ Over at Disneyland, TWO new Avengers attractions are on the way.

🚢 DISNEY CRUISE LINE is bringing even more magic! Disney Cruise Line’s Believe will feature Buzz & Woody on the stern AND Moana in the atrium! 🌊✨

And that’s not even everything Disney shared.

My biggest takeaway? The next few years are going to be VERY interesting for Disney vacations. Some of these additions may completely change when I recommend visiting—or when it might be worth waiting just a little longer for something new to open.

But Villains Land? 😈 Yeahhhh… they have my attention.

Can we keep Grenada our little secret? 🌴

Because somehow this island is still flying under the radar while offering gorgeous beaches, lush rainforest, waterfalls, spice farms, colorful St. George’s and some seriously beautiful Caribbean water.

And I think that’s exactly what makes it interesting.

Grenada is for the traveler who wants the Caribbean…but maybe not the same Caribbean vacation everyone else is taking.

If your travel wish list includes beautiful beaches **plus** somewhere worth getting out and exploring, you might want to take a closer look at Grenada.

How is it already the middle of August?! 😂

I swear we were just kicking off summer and now school is starting, fall is lurking around the corner, and somehow we’re already talking about holiday and New Year’s travel.

If a fall getaway, Christmas escape, or “get me out of here after the holidays” trip has been floating around in your head…this is your friendly reminder that now is a pretty good time to start making some plans.

But because it’s Friday and we’ve all worked hard enough this week…

Thought I forgot about finishing our Western road trip recap, didn’t you? 😂

I mean…I kind of did.

It’s been a minute since I left you somewhere in Wyoming, but apparently we’re climbing back in the car because South Dakota is next!

After leaving Wyoming, we made our way toward the Black Hills. Before heading to Mount Rushmore, we realized we were close enough to Sturgis that we obviously had to make a quick pit stop.

Were we there for the motorcycle rally? Nope.
Are we bikers? Also nope. 😂
But when your road trip takes you that close to Sturgis…you stop in Sturgis.

We walked around, took a few pictures, checked another place off the list, and then it was back on the road toward Mount Rushmore before ending the day in Custer, South Dakota.

One thing this trip reminded me: you don’t have to make every stop an event. Sometimes it’s fun just to say, “Hey, we’re close, let’s go see it.”

Those little detours ended up being some of the fun of this road trip.
