Before you book that flight through a third-party website, let’s have a quick chat. 😉✈️
What’s a third-party site? A company selling airline tickets that isn’t the airline itself—think Expedia, Kiwi or Gotogate.
Here’s why I recommend booking directly with the airline when purchasing flights yourself:
✈️ Changes can involve another step. You may need to work through the booking company to adjust your ticket, and its service fees can be separate from the airline’s charges.
✈️ Read the refund and credit rules. Understand the fare restrictions, who handles a request and any booking-service terms before purchasing.
✈️ Know where to turn for help. Booking directly gives you one fewer company to coordinate with when you need assistance with your reservation.
Does booking directly make every ticket refundable or every change free? No, the fare rules still matter!
