As most will be aware, there have been significant funding cuts for aid to Africa by the current US administration. Some of these cuts will have a devastating impact on conservation in Africa, and Namibia is no exception. Our partners in Namibia created a special one-off Desert Lion Conservation Safari, June 3-15, 2025 with proceeds supporting the leading conservation entities most impacted: The AfriCat Foundation, Save the Rhino Trust, and Desert Lion Conservation.
Guests will enjoy special access while looking for leopard, brown hyena, and pangolin at Okonjima, track endangered black rhino and desert-adapted elephants in Damaraland, and explore the remote region of Kaokoland (possibly with renowned desert lion researcher Dr. Flip Stander!) in search of rare desert-adapted lions. This is an extraordinary opportunity to experience and support some of the most remarkable conservation projects in Africa. This safari goes way off the beaten track so if you are keen on joining this adventure - get in touch ASAP! Space is limited to only 6 guests!
