🏷🌿 Don’t Forget the Tag! 🌿🏷

Raise your hand if you’ve ever planted something and later thought… “Wait… what WAS this again?” 😅🙋‍♀️

Between rose collections, companion plants, and “I’ll definitely remember where I planted that” moments (spoiler alert: we don’t always remember 😆), garden markers and wire-on tags are absolute lifesavers!🌹✨

Our wire-on tags + garden markers make it easy to:
🏷 Keep track of your rose/plant varieties
🌿 Remember planting locations + garden layouts
✂️ Track pruning, fertilizing, or care notes
🌸 Avoid the mystery of “pink rose #7” next spring 😅

Especially for collectors, new gardeners, or anyone planning a thoughtful garden space, a good plant tag can make all the difference between confusion and confidence 💛

✨ Durable, practical, and surprisingly helpful, future you will absolutely say thank you!!

Stop by the Nursery & Display Gardens to grab yours and keep your garden beautifully organized 🌿🌹

💬 Be honest… how many “mystery plants” do you currently have in the garden? 👀👇

🤍🌿 Plant Spotlight: Bridal Wreath Spirea 🌿🤍
(And yes… it’s currently on sale at our Nursery & Display Gardens!!)

If you’ve been searching for a shrub that feels straight out of a storybook cottage garden, allow us to introduce the much-sought-after: Bridal Wreath Spirea 🤍

With graceful, arching branches that cascade toward the ground and become absolutely covered in clusters of tiny white blooms each spring, it’s easy to see how this old-fashioned favorite earned its romantic name

✨ Why we love it:
🤍 Showy white spring blooms (April–May)
🦋 Pollinator-friendly
🌞 Thrives in full sun but is also shade-tolerant
🌿 Low maintenance + drought-tolerant once established
🦌 Deer-tolerant
🏡 Perfect for hedges, borders, foundations, or as a stunning specimen shrub

Its beautiful blue-green foliage and elegant arching shape make it a standout long after spring blooms fade, bringing structure and charm from season to season 🌿✨

📏 Mature Size: 5–8 ft tall | 7–10 ft wide
☀️ Best in: Full Sun
💧 Water Needs: Medium (low once established!)
🌱 Zones: 3–8
And the best part? Our Nursery & Display Gardens currently have them on sale! 🙌

🌹✨ Feature Friday: Up for Anything ✨🌹

This week’s A.R.E. Legacy Rose Spotlight goes to a rose that truly lives up to its name… Up for Anything ❤️

Introduced in 2022, this vibrant beauty has quickly made a name for itself, and for good reason:
❤️ Bold, vibrant, hot pink-to-red blooms appear in cheerful clusters
🌸 Repeat blooming for season-long color
🐝 Pollinator-friendly single blooms make it a favorite for bees and beneficials
🌿 Exceptional disease resistance = a garden workhorse you can count on
✨ Compact 4-foot shrub habit, perfect for landscapes, borders, or mass plantings

And if the beauty wasn’t enough… this rose is also a multi-award winner! 🏆

🌟 ARC Gold Medal – Most Outstanding Rose of Trials (2024)
🌟 Dr. Joseph & Marion Klima Award – Best Garden Impression Rose (2024)
🌟 American Rose Center Committee Award – Best Shrub-Landscape (2024)
🌟 American Rose Society Award – Best Shrub (2022)
🌟 American Rose Society Award – Best Garden Impression (2022)

While fragrance may not be its headline feature, Up for Anything shines where it counts: reliability, performance, pollinator appeal, and nonstop color!

If you’re looking for a rose that can truly handle just about anything… this one might just be your perfect match 🌹✨

🌹 🔥 HOT TAKE: AI is becoming both a tool and a trap door in gardening. 🔥 🌹

We’ve seen a massive uptick in AI-generated garden inspiration over the past 6 months alone, and while some of it is inspiring, we think it’s worth having an honest conversation about expectations for the garden 👀 🌿
Lately, we’ve had more and more people sending us or posting AI-created rose gardens as inspiration. And truthfully? Some of these images are setting gardeners up for disappointment.

Because here’s the thing:
🌹 Roses are not perfect 100% of the time.
🍃 Foliage isn’t always lush and flawless in every season, climate, or variety
🌿 Climbers don’t automatically drape every surface in waterfalls of blooms overnight.
☀️ Heat, humidity, pests, blackspot, soil, rainfall, pruning, and time all shape how a rose actually performs in a real garden.

AI tends to replicate what we WANT to see, not necessarily what is horticulturally realistic. It can create impossible bloom habits, exaggerated colors, unrealistic/unhealthy plant spacing, or garden conditions that simply don’t exist in real life.

And beyond expectations, there’s another piece of this conversation too 🌎 💧
AI systems require enormous energy, water, and computing resources; resources we could be conserving for our landscapes, food systems, and communities.
So maybe this is our gentle encouragement to say: Before asking AI what your garden could look like… ask your neighbors. Ask your gardening community. Ask experienced growers. Look at real-world garden photos. Learn how a rose performs across seasons, climates, and years.

Because there is something deeply beautiful about REAL gardens.
The imperfect blooms.
The learning curves.
The surprise successes.
The season where thrips win 😅
The rose that takes three years to finally become THE rose.

Gardening was never meant to be perfection.
It was meant to be about participation, and the beauty found ALONG the way.

💬 What are your thoughts: where do you stand on AI in gardening? Helpful tool, unrealistic expectations, or somewhere in the middle? 👇
