Meet one of the most unique animals at Beavers Bend Safari Park... the bearcat! 🐾

Despite the name, a bearcat is neither a bear nor a cat, it’s actually a binturong, a tree-dwelling mammal native to Southeast Asia. One of its coolest claims to fame? Its fur naturally smells like buttered popcorn thanks to a harmless scent compound.

Male ostriches play a huge role in raising their future chicks! While the female typically incubates the eggs during the day, dad takes over at night, using his dark feathers to blend into the darkness and help protect the nest from predators.
