A great reminder for those visiting this weekend.

Please be patient and courteous as Brookings will be filled with visitors for the Brookings Summer Arts Festival and the Buffalo Wild Wings Classic baseball tournament among many other events.

The Brookings Summer Arts Festival is this weekend, which means a lot of extra traffic on our roadways. 🚗🚶‍♀️👩‍🦼👩‍🦯🚴

Whether you’re traveling on foot or on wheels, safety is everyone’s responsibility. We know that booth across the way is eye-catching, but please be on the lookout for traffic, be patient, and avoid distraction.

🚶‍♀️🚴Pedestrians, remember to:
• Look up from your phone and remove headphones.
• Use sidewalks whenever possible.
• Cross at marked crosswalks.
• Make eye contact with drivers before crossing streets.

🚗 Drivers, remember to:
• Slow down and obey posted traffic signage.
• Watch for and yield to pedestrians.
• When parking, do not block the sidewalk or crosswalk.

The Anderson Plaza Performance Series is back every Tuesday in July at the South Dakota Art Museum!

The FREE live music starts at 6 PM so bring a picnic, chairs or blanket and enjoy the evening. There is plenty of space to relax on the Campus Green or to play yard games. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase.

Free parking is available in nearby lots after 4pm. Anderson Plaza is located behind the museum.

🎆 Uncle Sam Jam UPDATE! 🎆 Mother Nature’s been a little extra lately, so to make sure the fun doesn’t fizzle, we’re moving Uncle Sam Jam INDOORS to the Dacotah Bank Center Arena!

🕕 WHEN: 6–10PM (same time, same awesome fun!)
📍 WHERE: Inside the Dacotah Bank Center Arena – stay cool, stay dry, still party!
