Headed to Jacks Bash 3 tonight?

Here is what you need to know regarding parking:

🚗🎶 Jacks Bash 3 Parking Info 🎶🚗

We have received a lot of questions about parking for Jacks Bash 3. Here’s what you need to know:

✅ Free parking will be available in designated lots across campus
✅ Follow event staff & signage to directed parking areas
✅ Arrive early to secure your spot and avoid delays
✅ Accessible parking is available with proper permits
✅ Please do not park in restricted or reserved spaces
✅ Only vehicles that take 1 normal parking space will be permitted to park on campus.
▪️Larger/longer vehicles (including but not limited to buses, RVs, campers, trailers) should be parked at Dacotah Bank Center or another off campus location.

For drop-off/pick-up zones follow directions from event staff to help keep traffic flowing smoothly.

If you prefer to park off campus, there will be a shuttle available from Dacotah Bank Center.

Going to Downtown at Sundown this Thursday?

Learn more about the Central Residential Historic District with a trolley ride hosted by the Brookings Historic Preservation Commission!

Press Release: Back by popular demand, the Brookings Historic Preservation Commission (BHPC) will host the Central Residential Historic District Trolley Rides on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. in conjunction with Downtown at Sundown that evening.

The free trolley rides will start at the southwest corner of Fifth Street and Fifth Avenue (northwest corner of the Children’s Museum of South Dakota) and proceed clockwise through the Central Residential Historic District.

Participants will be led by horse and trolley provided by the McCrossan Boys Ranch of Sioux Falls with narration and commentary by BHPC commissioners.

Trolley rides will run continuous with departures every 20 to 30 minutes. All members of the public are welcome to attend. There are no age restrictions. Roughly 10 people can ride safely at a time.

A designated departure area will be blocked off with cones before and during the event. People are encouraged to wait at the southeast corner of Fifth Street and Fifth Avenue between departures.
