🎨 Discover Buffalo through the art of Jozef Slawinski!

Polish-born and Italian-trained mural artist Jozef Slawinski created some of the most remarkable examples of sgrafitto artwork in the Buffalo Niagara Region — using layers of colored cement to create intricate, one-of-a-kind murals. In fact, his four-layer technique has never been duplicated anywhere else in the United States!

Join us on this unique bus tour as we visit Assumption Church and other Buffalo landmarks to see Slawinski’s murals up close and learn more about the artist behind them! 🚌

Want to experience Doors Open Buffalo from the inside? Volunteer at one of Buffalo’s most significant buildings and help welcome thousands of visitors as an ambassador for our city!

Volunteers help greet and check in visitors, provide directions, and share information about their assigned building. And this year, YOU get to choose which building you’d like to volunteer in! 🙌

⏰ Choose a half-day shift:
- Morning shifts
- Afternoon shifts - more spots available!

Volunteer for the morning and spend your afternoon exploring Doors Open Buffalo - or volunteer in the afternoon and enjoy the event in the morning!

Our Urban Farm Day Bus Tour was a huge success! 🫛🍄

Guests got to explore 5 different urban farms around Buffalo and talk with the farmers and growers who are cultivating fresh food, building community, and creating a more sustainable food system right here in our city! 🌱

Our guests also got a delicious lunch Big Big Table ! A huge thank you to all of the locations who joined us. We’re already looking forward to next year!💚

A beautiful day in Delaware Park! ☀️🌳

Our Young Professionals enjoyed exploring on our Delaware Park: Hoyt Lake tour with Docent Helen, learning more about the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy with Zhi Ting Phua - Engagement and Inclusion Manager for the Conservacy - and taking in one of Buffalo’s most scenic parks. Mayor Sean Ryan even happened to stop by and was able to talk with our Young Professionals!

We ended the tour with an amazing happy hour The Terrace at Delaware Park !
We can’t wait for next month’s program! 🙌
