"LaVerne credits Frost and Legge for being “true visionaries” with preservation. He said their work with purchasing the buildings on Rainbow Row and helping preserve them helped put Charleston on the map “Charleston certainly could have taken a different turn without them,” – locals and tourists alike are most likely drawn to Rainbow Row because of the aesthetic, LaVerne said, but he takes joy in sharing its history when he gives tours. “There are locals that know Rainbow Row is just this old stretch of buildings, but I think it’s important that locals and our visitors realize the significance behind it". – The Post and Courier
