Our second stay in Costa Rica
Rio Perdido 📍

If you love nature, hiking, wildlife, quiet luxury, and the kind of resorts that make you immediately start planning a return trip before you’ve even checked out, this place is made for you.

The rooms are tucked into the jungle with floor-to-ceiling glass so you can literally watch the wildlife from bed. Some rooms have outdoor soaking tubs fed by the natural thermal river water, outdoor hammocks/swings, and huge decks that make you want to sit outside for hours doing absolutely nothing.

Most of the activities are included with your stay, which is one of the things we loved most. Hiking trails, thermal pools, canyon adventures, mountain biking, white water tubing through the thermal river, wildlife spotting… there’s constantly something to do without the resort ever feeling crowded or overwhelming.

The entire resort feels very disconnected in the best way. Quiet, immersive, design-forward, and surrounded by nature without sacrificing comfort.

Safe to say this one already has a spot high on our Costa Rica favorites list.
