Meredith & DeWayne are wrapping up a cruise aboard Explora III, and have plenty to talk about.

We’ll share our full review in our Travel Circle Group: what surprised us, who we think would enjoy it, and whether we’d book it again.

We’ve spent the week calling this “research.” Come see our findings. 😉

Somehow, “whatever everyone else wants” still comes with 14 non-negotiables. 😂

You can hand this one to us.

One rule: you have to recommend somewhere you have personally visited.

Where are you sending them and why is it the right choice for their first international trip?

January through March may be a particularly good time to have somewhere warm waiting for you next year.

NOAA says El Niño is strengthening and is possibly going to be the strongest on record. For the Southeast and much of the southern United States, that pattern raises the odds of a wetter, stormier winter (including increased chances of snow).

That doesn’t tell us what the weather will do on one particular Tuesday. But January already feels approximately 74 days long without adding weeks of gray skies.

A Caribbean cruise or a few nights at an all-inclusive resort would fit very nicely into that forecast (plus... these winter months are typically the dry season in these destinations).

It doesn’t need to be the biggest vacation you take in 2027. Four or five nights somewhere warm can give you something to look forward to once the holidays are over.

If you’d like to begin 2027 somewhere sunnier, send us a message. This is a very good time to start planning it.

Beth helped a client plan a Hawaii vacation split between Oahu and Maui.

She came home calling it the trip of a lifetime and saying she would absolutely trust Beth with the next one, too.

That’s a pretty good note to start the weekend. 💜

We asked everyone at STV how they would spend an extra $2,000 on a trip.

Here’s how quickly the imaginary money disappeared:

Meredith: Upgrade the cabin or upgrade the flight. It depends on the trip.

Katie: A better seat on the plane or a souvenir worth keeping forever.

Micki: Put it toward the biggest adventure available.

DeWayne: Find the once-in-a-lifetime experience. Book it.

Beth: Food... and Shopping...

Honestly, this may be the most accurate description of our team we’ve ever posted.

The first family trip we took to Disney in 2017 changed the way I thought about spending money on travel.

It helped me see the value of spending money to make memories together instead of buying more stuff.

It also made me realize that some of the experiences on our family’s bucket list weren’t nearly as hard to make happen as I had imagined.

PS... enjoy these photos of all of us riding Expedition Everest for the first time 🤣

This really meant a lot.

Not because it was a five-star review, but because this is exactly what we hope travel with our agency feels like.

A good plan before you leave, someone paying attention while you’re traveling, and help when the weather decides it has other ideas.

Thank you, "KS", for trusting Meredith with such a special anniversary trip.
