John and Dee Faulkner caught on to the technique very quick today and ended up catching a table full of good fish. We used B'n'M Fishing 16ft BGJPs with Cruz Custom Jigs purple Chart hair jigs.

The fish are in transition right now from Summertime flats to the Fall pattern! We couldn’t catch these roaming fish with Power-Brakes mounted on my Power-Pole Total Boat Control. I absolutely love being able to press a button and put my breaks down or take them up in 3 seconds. Because of the breaks and the lithium batteries from Outdoors we are able cover miles of water. As always a huge thank you to Mike and Joey at for keeping me problem free.

Pro Tip: Tuning your livescope screen

in this video, I want show you how I clean my picture up seeing the best possible picture of the fish I can get!

1. Find a good fish that’s being still.
2. Touch the fish on screen this will pause it.
3. Push options button it will give you Gain and Color Gain choices.
4. Select Color gain for brightness. Brightening up the fish.
5. Select Gain for contrast the higher you raise it the bigger the fish will appear.

I like to define the edges of the fish so I can see his movement, behavior, and reaction.

Dog Days of Summer Tips!

1. The most important thing to big crappie right now is comfort!
2. There’s bait everywhere catfish will be where the bait is thick but crappie will be where there’s only some bait.
3. High sun and it’s hot, locate areas with big structure. Big Stumps, Big Laydowns, Old bridges, big rock piles, etc.
4. If the water visibility is less than a foot the fish will ROAM!
5. Minnows and Scent make catching much easier.
