👶🎢 Disney Stroller Debate: Rent in the Parks or Rent for Your Entire Vacation?
One of the questions I get asked most often is:
"Should we rent a stroller at the parks when we need it or rent one for the whole trip?"
The answer depends on your family's needs, but here are some things to consider before you decide!
🏰 Disney Park Stroller Rental
Pros:
✅ No need to transport a stroller to the parks.
✅ Available right inside each theme park.
✅ Great if you only think you'll need one occasionally.
Cons:
❌ Hard plastic seats with minimal padding.
❌ Can't leave the park with it—you'll need to return it before you leave each day.
❌ No stroller for walking to transportation, resorts, Disney Springs, or around your hotel.
❌ No storage when you're outside the parks.
❌ Daily rental fees can add up over several days.
🛒 Week-Long Rental from a Stroller Company
Pros:
✅ Comfortable, padded stroller that reclines for naps.
✅ Available 24/7 for your entire vacation—not just inside the parks.
✅ Great storage for backpacks, souvenirs, snacks, water bottles, and jackets.
✅ Easier to push over long distances.
✅ Use it at your resort, Disney Springs, and while traveling between parks.
✅ Many companies deliver directly to your Disney resort and pick it up when you're done.
Cons:
❌ You'll need to fold it for Disney buses and some transportation.
❌ Slightly more planning ahead to reserve before your trip.
💡 Don't Rule Out a Stroller Just Because Your Child Is "Too Old."
This is probably my biggest piece of Disney advice!
A Disney day often means 15,000-20,000 steps in the Florida heat. Even kids who haven't used a stroller in years can get exhausted after multiple park days.
Many families are surprised by how much a stroller helps children ages 6–9. It's not about whether they can walk—it's about conserving energy so everyone enjoys more attractions, fewer meltdowns, and longer park days. A stroller also gives kids a comfortable place to rest, snack, or even nap, while giving parents extra storage.
Sometimes the best Disney memories come from ending the day with fireworks instead of leaving early because little legs are simply worn out.
✨ My recommendation? If you're visiting for several days and have children who may tire easily, a week-long stroller rental is often well worth considering.
Have questions about what size stroller to rent or which rental companies are the easiest to use at Disney? I'm always happy to help make your vacation as magical—and stress-free—as possible! 🏰💙
