Cherie Tan captured her sixth PWBA Tour title by winning the PWBA Lilac City Open in Rochester, New York, yesterday. The victory ended a title drought of nearly two years and marked her first PWBA win since the 2024 BowlTV Classic.

Tan entered the stepladder finals as the No. 1 seed and defeated Shannon Pluhowsky in the championship match, 225–206, to claim the title and the $10,000 top prize.

Congratulations to Shannon Pluhowsky on capturing her 7th PWBA title winning the 2026 BowlTV Open Championship!

Shannon dominated the field all week at ABC Gates Bowl, earning the No. 1 seed for the stepladder finals after an outstanding match-play performance that included nine wins in 12 games and one of the highest match-play totals in PWBA history.

In the championship match, she came out with seven consecutive strikes and defeated Julia Bond, 268-205, to claim the title and the $10,000 top prize.

This victory marks Shannon's fifth PWBA title since the start of the 2024 season and further adds to an already remarkable Hall of Fame caliber career.
