This picture popped up in my Facebook memories today. It was my kids’ very first Disney trip, and I think it’s still my favorite one. My daughter was six and really into Disney princesses. My son was three and loved Toy Story and dinosaurs.
I remember it was our first park day at Magic Kingdom. It POURED for hours. We put our ponchos on and kept going. Lines were short, it was a GREAT day!
What I think about now is how the magic was so alive for them at the time. I can still see their faces while waving at their favorite characters, the dinosaurs roaring at TRex Cafe, and the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reveal.
Do they remember every moment? No. But I do. I am so very thankful for all of our travel memories! As my kids are getting older, and it’s harder to travel together due to commitments, our travel memories are some of my very favorites. I’m so thankful we didn’t wait until they were older, or wait until the time was right, whenever that is. Take the trip!!
