Celebrating its 36th year, the WV Black Heritage Festival filled downtown Clarksburg with the sights, sounds and spirit of a weekend rooted in culture, history, heritage and community. More than three decades of tradition were on full display as generations came together to honor the history and contributions of West Virginia’s Black community, celebrate cherished traditions and make new memories.

Downtown was filled with incredible performances, delicious food and fellowship as families and friends came together for a weekend that was a beautiful reminder of what makes this tradition so special.

Thank you to the WV Black Heritage Festival organizers, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, performers and everyone who works so hard to make this wonderful celebration possible year after year. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out this weekend to celebrate and support a tradition that means so much to Clarksburg. We’re proud the WV Black Heritage Festival calls downtown Clarksburg home and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next year!

What a weekend in downtown Clarksburg! The West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival once again brought our streets to life with great food, traditions, wonderful entertainment, fun activities for children, and thousands of people coming together to celebrate Italian heritage right here in the heart of Clarksburg. The energy it brought to our city was incredible!

Congratulations to the newly crowned Regina Maria XLVII, Marra Rose Johnson! We wish her a wonderful year representing the West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival and carrying on this cherished tradition.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the festival possible and to everyone who came home to Clarksburg to celebrate with us! 🇮🇹

🎃 Double the Halloween fun in Clarksburg! 👻 The Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library and Waldomore are getting in on the Halloween festivities Friday, October 30th, with a Trunk or Treat and Jack-o’-Lantern Contest!

🎃 Jack-o’-Lantern Contest: 5–8 p.m.
🍬 Trunk or Treat: 6–7:30 p.m.
🏆 Winners announced: 8 p.m.

Bring your already-carved pumpkin to Waldomore between 5 and 6 p.m. to enter the contest. Battery-operated candles will be provided, and all ages are welcome to participate!

The Clarksburg Visitors Bureau congratulates all of this year’s West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival Pasta Cook-Off, Canned Pepper, Oil & Vinegar and Homemade W**e contest winners!

It was wonderful to see such a great turnout for this year’s events, with festivalgoers gathering to sample the entries, visit with one another and enjoy traditions that have been part of the festival for generations. The attendance, energy and excitement were a wonderful reminder of just how much the WV Italian Heritage Festival means to those far and near.

From treasured family recipes and homemade sauces to peppers and wines, these contests celebrate the food, heritage and traditions that make the festival so memorable year after year.
