Exploring the unknown, discovering the unseen...both the Civilian Conservation Corps and the US Forest Service played a role in building trails in Hells Canyon. Roughly 200,000 acres of the recreation area are designated the Hells Canyon Wilderness. There are nearly 900 miles of hiking trails, with the largest portion in eastern Wallowa County, Oregon. Our Story

Beamers Hells Canyon Tours has been providing professionally guided jet boat tours and fishing charters on the Snake River of Hells Canyon since 1974. Owned by licensed outfitters and guides Jim and Jill Koch. We operate a fleet of US Coast Guard inspected jet boats under (3) separate US Forest Service special use permits in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. Additionally we contract a US Forest Service special use permit for 25 acres in the Wallowa Whitman National Forest where we own and operate our remote riverfront wilderness camp Copper Creek Lodge.

We also operate under 2 Special Use Permits on the Clearwater River and are contracted by the Federal Government to make the weekly delivery of the U.S. Mail in Hells Canyon, the same way its been delivered since 1919...by boat!

We own 2 facilities along the Snake River to serve you. You will find our event venue Heller Bar Lodge located at the confluence of the Snake and Grande Ronde Rivers, and our remote overnight wilderness camp Copper Creek Lodge including a main lodge and 23 private cabins, beautifully situated on the Oregon bank of the Snake River, accessible only by boat.
