We have been busy this summer! It’s hard to believe that moose season is right around the corner!
Over ten acres of fields have been bush hogged and reclaimed. The first of the three planned food plots has been plowed, harrowed and planted and tower stand built. Just need windows and that project will be wrapped up.
The logs for the two guest cabins have been cut and should be delivered tomorrow to begin the milling process. Those will be built next spring.
Last but certainly not least, the new house project is starting to move along quickly. The foundation was poured today and the building crew will be here on Thursday!
We are very excited about the new opportunities we will have to offer for the upcoming year, but for now, it’s almost moose season!!

The Maine moose lottery drawing is approaching quickly, and we are thrilled. In anticipation of the moose season, Jaime and I have exciting news about the expansion of Epic Adventures. Having sold our house and secured a large property, we plan to build a residence with a commercial kitchen and two guest cabins, creating an idyllic retreat for our clients. Central Maine offers diverse opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, and we are eager to provide guided services for fishing, hunting, and snowshoe hare hunting, while ensuring our guests' comfort. We are prepared for the challenges that lie ahead and look forward to this new chapter.

We are heartbroken to share that a Maine Game Warden died this morning following a plane crash in Avon, near Schoolhouse Pond. The crash occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m.

This is a devastating loss for the Maine Warden Service, our Department, and the people of Maine. Our thoughts are with the family, loved ones, colleagues, and all those impacted by this tragedy.

We will share additional information as it becomes available.
