The existing economic development director plans on retiring around 10/2/2025 after serving Clinton for over 6 years. He will stay available as need be to assist with the transition.

Are you needing a meeting space in Clinton? If so, the Chamber of Commerce may be able to help you out. The Chamber of Commerce building at 200 S. Main St. features a conference room with a table and chairs for about ten people, possibly more if needed. The room features a big screen TV with access to Internet, zoom and more, a sink, coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, and restrooms. This room is available to members of the Clinton Chamber free of charge. It is also available to those that are not members of our Chamber, however there is a fee. The room can be used during business hours from 8am till 4:30pm Monday through Friday. After hours and weekend hours can be discussed. Clinton MO Rotary Club--David Lee, Executive Director of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, was guest speaker at Rotary. Olde Glory Days will be held July 3rd-6th with the theme American Made the Clinton Way. On June 28th a veteran’s dinner will be held at the Elks Lodge to kickoff festivities for the following week. As always, there will be something for everyone of all ages. A large fireworks display will top off the festivities on Sunday evening.

On Tuesday (6.17), the Chamber of Commerce held one of our Chamber Luncheons at the Elks Lodge Banquet Room. Speakers included MO State Senator Sandy Crawford, Clinton Mayor Carla Moberly, Chamber President-Elect Jared Goodbrake, Past-President Amber Hansen, Ken Lumley with the MO Dept. of Social Services, Clinton Economic Development Director Mark Dawson and Chamber Director David Lee. Lunch was provided by Powell Meat Company. Sponsors included Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, Heartland Comm. Theatre, Henry Co. Mutual Ins., Jim Falk Motors, OakStar Bank, and Osage Valley Electric Co-op.

So...we've done a thing...As of July 1, 2025, we can say we will be truly and completely RETIRED! We opened Loyd's Tire in March of 2013 and have enjoyed these past years. We're so very thankful for our loyal customers and feel we've made some great friends while in business.

In partnership with Henry County Sherriff’s Department are excited to announce a new service for vulnerable residents in Henry County. Project Lifesaver is the premier search and rescue program operated internationally by public safety agencies, and is strategically designed for “at-risk” individuals who are prone to the life-threatening behavior of wandering. The primary mission of Project Lifesaver is to provide timely response to save lives and reduce potential injury for adults and children with the propensity to wander due to a cognitive condition.

The Clinton Chamber of Commerce and our Ambassadors Committee are hosting a Legislative Luncheon.
We will start the program around 11:45 and if you are still eating, that's certainly no problem. Our speakers will include State Senator Sandy Crawford, Clinton Mayor Carla Moberly, Henry Co. Commissioner Jim Stone, a representative for U.S. Senator Mark Alford and Clinton's Economic Development Director Mark Dawson. Find out what is happening in Clinton, Henry Co., MO, and Washington D.C. There may be time for a short 'question and answer session' and/or a time to speak individually with each presenter. There will be sub sandwiches, chips, dessert, and drink. Just call or email YOUR Chamber to reserve your tickets (660-885-8166 or [email protected]).
We are also looking for sponsors for this event. Sponsor levels include $100 and $200 and there will be a program provided to attendees. Sponsors receive their logo in the program and one ($100) or two ($200) free tickets to the luncheon. Once again, you can call or email to become a sponsor. We certainly hope you plan on attending this event June 17th to hear from our elected officials talking about a variety of subjects. Seating will be limited. This is open to the public.
