One of my favorite parts of being a travel advisor is that I don’t just plan the trip and disappear. 🤍

I LOVE hearing from my clients while they’re traveling. The photos, the little updates, the amazing meals, the unexpected moments…I feel like I get to live vicariously through them a little bit!

Right now I have clients in Door County, Wisconsin and others in Puerto Rico, and I’ve gotten updates about everything from eating the best Beef Wellington to creating their own perfume in downtown San Juan. ✈️

Those are the moments I love most because it means the trip we talked about and planned together is actually happening. And I’m always excited to hear all about it!

While Missouri is having one last super-hot week, my parents are enjoying beautiful 70-degree weather in Door County, Wisconsin! ☀️🍃

This photo is from Sister Bay, and I think it looks absolutely perfect. They’re staying at the cutest little spot, Julie’s Park Cafe & Motel in Fish Creek, which I helped them book.

Door County seems like such a peaceful place to slow down, enjoy the views, and soak up those cooler late-summer days. I may need to add it to my own travel list! 💙

You don’t have to hand over your entire vacation to work with a travel advisor. ✈️

Maybe you’re a pro at booking your own flights, hotels and transportation, but when it comes to finding fun, unique experiences once you get there, that’s where I can help.

Tours, food experiences, day trips, excursions and those little “we have to do this while we’re there” moments can take a lot of research.

I’m currently learning even more ways to help my clients find and book those experiences ahead of time so you’re not scrambling once you arrive.

Sometimes you just need help with the fun part. 🤍

🍂 Where is your favorite place to travel in the fall?

For me, it’s a toss-up between Hermann, Missouri, and St. Augustine, Florida. Hermann is the complete opposite of quiet with Oktoberfest festivities, w**e, fall colors, and so much fun energy. St. Augustine, on the other hand, is a little cooler, less crowded, and perfect for a peaceful coastal getaway.

Both are beautiful in their own completely different ways! What destination do you love visiting in the fall? 🍁

🎉 A little Saturday travel advisor win!

I officially completed ALG Vacations Pro Academy! ✈️🌎

I learned a lot about all the different ways to build a trip — including multi-destination vacations, flights, rental cars, hotels, and how all of those pieces can work together to create one complete itinerary.

So naturally, I’m spending part of my Saturday putting that knowledge to work and scoping out an Italy multi-destination itinerary. 🇮🇹🍝🍷

✈️ Travel Tip Tuesday!

One of the things people sometimes worry about when traveling internationally is not being able to read a restaurant menu.

But did you know your phone can translate it for you?! 📱

When my mom and I were in Berlin, we stumbled across this little restaurant and the entire menu was in German. I can’t tell you how many times I used the camera translation feature on my phone during that trip. 😂

You simply point your camera at the menu, and your phone can translate the words right on the screen so you have a much better idea of what you’re ordering.

And thank goodness we figured it out here because we ended up with some AMAZING potato cakes that we probably never would have known to order otherwise. 😍🥔

Don’t let a language barrier keep you from trying the local food — sometimes that’s one of the best parts of traveling!

Sometimes you can take a hundred photos and videos, and they still don’t come close to actually being there. 🌲💚

Muir Woods was one of those places for me.

It was one of the quietest places I’ve ever been — no cicadas buzzing like we’re used to here in Missouri, just the sounds of the forest around you. The smell of the fresh air, spotting little bits of wildlife along the way, looking up at trees that seem to go on forever…there was just this overwhelming feeling of calm and peace.

Pictures help us remember a place, but sometimes it’s the way a place felt that stays with you the most.

✨ Wanderlust Wednesday ✨

Today’s little dose of wanderlust comes from Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸

My son took these photos of La Sagrada Família, and the detail in this place is unreal. It’s one of those landmarks you can look at over and over and still notice something new every time.

Barcelona is definitely one of those destinations that belongs on a bucket list. 💙
