Days 6 & 7 Summer Birthright recap! 💙🇮🇱

From Yad Vashem to the NOVA festival memorial site to sleeping in Bedouin tents before hiking to the top of Masada to watch the sunrise, our Jewish Buckeyes are experiencing it all. ❤️🌰

Next up, we will get to float in the Dead Sea and then head to Tel Aviv one last time to tour the old city of Jaffa. 🇮🇱

Birthright days 5 & 6 recap! 💙🇮🇱
On Saturday, students experienced Shabbat in Jerusalem! That afternoon, they came together for a meaningful bar mitzvah ceremony. That evening, they celebrated Havdallah before enjoying a fun night out in Jerusalem.

On Sunday morning, students explored Jerusalem’s Old City and visited the Western Wall. In the afternoon, they traveled to Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust museum.

Summer Birthright is officially underway! 💙🇮🇱

Day 1 consisted of a travel day, followed by a quick orientation before heading to the hotel!

Day 2 started off by students going to Aqua Kef, a floating water park on the Kinneret (the Sea of Galilee) in Tiberias. Everyone had the best time jumping around and playing.
In the afternoon, they went to Kibbutz Lavi where they learned a lot about Israeli agriculture- getting to pick some plants and participate in a salad making competition!After a long day in the strong sun, students headed back to their beautiful hotel for dinner and get-to-know-you games! 💙🇮🇱

On May 1st, we came together to honor the generations of students, alumni, supporters, and leaders who have made the past century of Jewish life at Ohio State possible. From unforgettable memories to lifelong friendships and leadership opportunities, this community continues to shape the Buckeye experience in meaningful ways. ❤️🌰

We also celebrated our graduating seniors, who brought energy, passion, and impact to OSU Hillel the last four years. You’ve shaped our community today and will continue to shape it far beyond campus!

And a huge congratulations to Brad Kastan, the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award recipient! Thank you for your decades of incredible dedication, leadership, and unwavering support of OSU Hillel and our students throughout the years.
