We asked every at-large candidate the same question: if you had to cut the Corpus Christi city budget by 10%, what would you protect, and what would you cut?
Michael Miller, candidate for City Council At-Large, points to the city’s procurement process. He argues that the way contracts are set up now, “if a project goes over budget, everybody’s making more money.” He wants to reward design teams and contractors for saving money, build infrastructure that lasts, and stop running roads to failure only to dig them up again a few years later.
