We made it down to the keys last night. Lovely Marathon, Florida. We beat 26 knots of north wind that eventually hit while we were enjoying dinner, dockside. It was a bumpy night, conducive to real great sleep. I’m sitting alone now, in the lee of the lighthouse, out of the wind, having my coffee. The most peaceful half hour I’ve had in days. Loving life. I’m planning our next jump up the coast of Florida, on the gulf side. Will need 700 gallons of fuel to make the jump to Pensacola. Happy boat days!! Oh, can’t forget, happy birthday to John Windemiller!!

Yesterday afternoon, 1-22-2021. Temp was 68F. Winds were light SE, and increased to 7kts E around 4pm. The first photo we were hove to, most likely fashioning cocktails. Second photo we are making a few knots on a beam reach, Seraphim’s much preferred point of sail. Thanks to Michael Quinn for the photos. It was a nice afternoon on the Corpus Christi Bay.

Spectacular! I love this place. There is nothing like a wintertime sunset over Corpus Christi!
