Open for salt tomorrow…

We have a few hundred 5 gallons buckets of calcium in the North East Philly area, I will bring some in as well.

Our bagged material is still being held for our repeat customers for years.

Bulk, we are running bulk tomorrow and our bin is full.

Bagged material will slowly be coming in.

I will open tomorrow if needed at 9am for bulk salt, we have plenty.

Our pallet products are being saved for the cold 3 weeks on deck. I will sell some at my discretion, I am sorry that I can’t take on new pallet customers.

We will continue to restock pallets as fast as possible, but production takes time, we will run out of halite and cma.

Pool salt is also in the cards next week and calcium in buckets being filled as we speak.

Thank you, its going to be a very interesting few weeks.

I am conserving our products for our normal everyday customers that have been with us year after year, they have always paid my prices and “never went to the cheap guy”….customer loyalty and commitment goes a long way; its priceless

Additionally I may halt all pallet sales until the COLD arrives next week. Tomorrows snow is nothing with the warm ground temps and rising temps tomorrow night…

We are open for bulk.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION…with the local rock salt shortage going on with no end in site has caused a massive influx of trucks at other salt piles, hence causing major delays.

Going forward I predict rock salt prices to skyrocket, we are averaging 1 or 2 loads per day per truck or $23-$47 per ton for trucking only x 22 tons per truck.

The price of the salt along with the overtime for logistics will go up by $25 per ton; or more!!

So, going forward I would plan on salt costing $150 - $200 per ton delivered.

I also believe the bagging plants are getting hammered with overtime, the dispatchers are putting in 70-80 hour weeks. They deserve extra pay as well.

Again, conservative salt and PLAN CASH FLOW. I hope people take me serious; I have the best mentors when it comes to this, this is not sales hype, just communication.

I will be closing at 5pm to CONSERVE salt…open at 5am tomorrow, please please don’t all show at 5, I have 160 tons inside and blended pallet products only.

I can only load our “regulars” tomorrow. I am working on getting more product as fast as possible.

I will in good faith try my best to help others that were cut out of other locations, remember I told you all a shortage was coming weeks ago, the most comments I got “Silvi has plenty with no wait”…

I didn’t cause this problem, I am simply managing our customers needs.
