🚨 EARTHQUAKE ALERT! 🚨

Did you feel the ground shake this morning?! A magnitude 4.1 earthquake hit near Knoxville, TN at 9:04am and was felt all the way in Dahlonega!

According to USGS, this was a shallow quake (only 9 miles deep) which is why so many of us felt it across Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina!

We certainly felt it in the forest!Reports are coming in from as far as Alpharetta and Lawrenceville!
One local described it as “a wave going through” while another felt “the whole house shake” with “the latched front door creaking.” Here in Dahlonega, we experienced “light shaking” with “rattling and vibration” lasting 20-30 seconds!

This is the strongest earthquake to hit this region since December 2018! Nature reminding us of its power today!

Suspended 40 feet above the forest floor and accessed by a 100-foot rope bridge, our little sanctuary has become a place where guests live out their wildest dreams (with modern comforts!) while being ranked in the top 10% of Airbnb homes worldwide. What makes us smile most? They highlighted our personal touches - the homemade pizza dough, the “tree mail” pastry deliveries, and the magical movie nights under the forest canopy.
