Want theme park tips?
Well it’s getting hot out there so here’s a list of top tips to survive the heat and the weather that comes with it:
Ponchos - yes it’s hot but it’ll rain almost every day in summer. The showers usually only last 15 minutes or so but unless you take cover you’ll get wet. Ponchos are super-expensive in the parks so stock up before you go at Walmart or Dollar Tree.
Water - buying Dasani all day long gets expensive so take an insulated water bottle (we use Super Sparrow) and fill up at water stations or in quick service restaurants where you can get free iced water. You can also pick up cups of water if you don’t like carrying a bottle all day.
We also leave iced water in the car in a large corksicle or Stanley cup and it’s still cold when you get back.
Cooling towels - you can get these cheaply on Amazon before you go. Wet them under the tap, wring them out and wrap them round your neck. Game changer!
Preferred parking - this can get pricey but if you have loads of gear to carry it can be worth it for the shorter walk, especially if you are travelling as two couples/families and can split the cost. Just beware that sometimes it’s not that much closer than the cheaper standard parking and at Magic Kingdom you still have to negotiate the monorail/ferry boat.
A/C breaks - pop into shops, restaurants, indoor rides as often as you can to take a breather from the heat.
