Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association (Visit North Alabama) supports and promotes tourism for the 16 North Alabama counties. The region includes 16 counties that offer eight sport fishing lakes, seven state parks, more than 175 attractions, lots of shopping and dining locations, and numerous outdoor adventure opportunities.

American Legion Post 25 in Moulton will host the inaugural Alabama Veterans Uplift event on Saturday, June 14, at H.A. Alexander Park from 9am-4pm. This community-focused celebration aims to honor and support Alabama's veteran community through a day filled with resources, camaraderie, and appreciation.
The Revive America Merchants Trail will take place now through June 27 allowing merchants to show their patriotic spirit. A trail sheet may be picked up at the Lawrence County Archives or one may be requested by sending an email to [email protected]. Each participating location will have a number and a stamp. Once a participant has visited all merchants on the trail, they can turn their completed trail sheet back into the Lawrence County Archives to be entered in a prize drawing.
During the third week in June, Post 25 will conduct a veteran’s tour of military museums in Huntsville. The tours will be free of charge to veterans. Fireworks displays are scheduled for June 27 in Moulton and June 28 in Courtland. Revive America concludes after a celebration on the Fourth of July.

Rodeo action will hit the dirt on June 13-14 when the Estes Field PCA Rodeo returns to the North Alabama town of Centre! And it's not just for rodeo fans - the Estes Field PCA Rodeo promises to bring family-friendly excitement for all. Gates open at 5:30pm with mutton busting at 6:30pm and the rodeo following at 7:30pm both nights. Competitive events lined up include ba****ck riding, calf roping, break-away roping, team roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing and bull riding. As cowboys and cowgirls compete for prize money, the crowd is also entertained with professional rodeo clowns and there will be food trucks for those arriving hungry.
Daily ticket prices are $20 per person. Admission is free for five years old and younger. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism office or at the gate.

North Alabama has museums ranging from art to space history and everything in between. One of the most iconic museums is the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Visitors can learn about the history of space, see lots of rockets, and ride some fun rides at the museum. It’s definitely a bucket list item.
