Visit North Alabama From mountains and lakes to rockets and space, North Alabama is a beautiful place! We are a regional tourism office located in central North Alabama.

Alabama Mountain Lakes Tourist Association (Visit North Alabama) supports and promotes tourism for the 16 North Alabama counties. The region includes 16 counties that offer eight sport fishing lakes, seven state parks, more than 175 attractions, lots of shopping and dining locations, and numerous outdoor adventure opportunities.

Who’s ready for a day of fun at the June Fling in Oneonta on June 6? This beloved community festival fills downtown with arts and crafts vendors, delicious food, live entertainment and family-friendly activities all day long. Visitors can shop local booths, enjoy festival treats and take in the lively small-town atmosphere that makes Oneonta such a fun place to visit.

Festival goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, as limited tables will be available throughout the event. For more information, visit the Oneonta Business Association website or call 205-813-7194.

First Friday is back in downtown Gadsden on June 5, and it’s shaping up to be another fun night on Broad Street! 🚗🎶🍔

Broad Street will close to traffic beginning at 3 p.m. as classic cars, food vendors and live entertainment get set up for the evening. The party officially kicks off at 5pm and runs until 8pm from 1st to 7th streets.

This month’s entertainment lineup includes:
🎸 Michael Lovett at 2nd & Broad
🎤 Kevin Moore at 3rd & Broad
🎧 DJ Buster Porch at 4th & Broad
🎻 Etowah Youth Ensemble at 5th & Broad
💃 Gadsden Line Dancers on the 600 block

Are you ready to rock, Decatur? 🎶🤘 One of the Southeast’s biggest music festivals is kicking off an exciting new chapter as Rock the South 2026 rolls into Decatur June 11–13! After 15 years in Cullman, the fan-favorite festival is making its big debut at The Fields at Decatur with three days packed full of live music, camping, food vendors and the kind of festival energy country music fans wait all year for.

Celebrate a unique piece of American history at the Haleyville Alabama 9-1-1 Festival June 5-6 in downtown Haleyville! Marking the anniversary of the nation’s first 9-1-1 emergency call placed in Haleyville in 1968, this family-friendly festival features live music, arts and crafts vendors, parade festivities, food, classic cars and plenty of small-town fun.

The Haleyville 9-1-1 Festival kicks off June 5 with free family-friendly fun in downtown Haleyville, including live music, shopping, food vendors and activities for kids. Friday night’s entertainment features Area 51, Michael Stacey’s Margaritaville, Colin Stough and country music legend John Anderson, known for hits like “Swingin’” and “Seminole Wind.”

Saturday’s festivities begin at 8am with a motorcycle show, car and tractor shows, arts and crafts vendors and the annual alumni and first responders parade. Live music continues throughout the day with performances by Mike Jones, Lauderdale County String Band, Raine and Freebird ATL, wrapping up around 9pm.
