Beginning June 26, non-revenue standby customers will be able to change their seat assignment in the mobile app after flight restriction, up until they board.

• This functionality will be available to non-revenue positive space (NRPS) and non-revenue space available (NRSA) customers, including ZED customers.
• This update will give all NRSA and NRPS the opportunity to change their seats and extend the window for making changes for low-load factor flights.

Why it matters

• This change is fueled by feedback from you all. It gives our non-revenue customers more control over their travel experience and allows them to self-serve when possible.
• It also reduces the burden of handling seat transactions at the gate, especially near the start of boarding.

Moving forward, please self-serve in the mobile app to change your seat when possible.

The pass travel system updates scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday have now been changed to Wednesday, June 17 from 1 a.m. - 2:30 a.m. CT.

On Tuesday, June 16 and Thursday, June 18 from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. CT, United will be undergoing a few system updates that will impact the ability to book pass travel for United employees and retirees. During this time, the following platforms will be temporarily unavailable:

5. AERO/JET
6. Mobile Agent
7. ePASS desk
8. myIDTravel
9. ID90 Travel
10. United.com (myUAdiscount bookings only)

To avoid disruption of your travels plans, we advise retirees to pre-book their flights since the booking functionality will be unavailable during this window.
